HOW TO RECORD COMPUTER SCREEN USING APPLICATION WE ALREADY HAVE IN WINDOWS

Have you ever try to record your computer screen?

Do you know how to do it?

I never have any reason to record computer screen before, so I didn't know how to do it until I finally have my own reason to do it.

At first, I think we need to install application for screen recording to be able to do that, but after I searched about it, I learned that we can use application that are already installed in our Windows.

There are two ways that I know to record computer screen using application we already have in Windows.

1st Way : Using Power Point

1.  Open Power Point

     

2.  Click “Insert” tab, and select “Screen Recording”

     

3.  Click “Select Area” and mark the area of your screen you want to record

4.  Set the “Audio” or “Record Pointer” on if you want to include the audio or the pointer movement on the recording

5.  Click the “Record” button or press the Windows key + Shift + R

6.  Click “Pause” to pause the recording and the square icon to stop the recording

7.  Your recording will be shown in power point slide. You can save the recording by right clicking on the recording and select “Save Media As…”

8.  You can edit the saved recording using another application

2nd Way : Using Game Bar

1.  Press the Windows key + G

      

2.  If it’s the first time you access the it, the pop up will appear asking if you would like to open Game bar, and then check the “Yes, this is a game” box

      

3.  Press the record button to start recording, press the button again to stop or press the Windows key + Alt + R  

So, those are two ways to record computer screen without the need to download new application. Which one do you prefer?
